OIL EXTRACTION PROCESS:

oep Exceeds Government Standards

Environmentally Friendly Extremely Cost Effective Exceeds Government Standards

No existing technology can compete with the BGR Oil Extraction Process, particularly in the offshore application.

The oil industry is facing ever stringent regulations governing hydrocarbon contamination and waste management.
In most jurisdictions the industry must meet a standard of less than 1% hydrocarbons in solids to permit over-board discharge.

The BGR Oil Extraction Process not only meets but exceeds current standards. The process is safe, and we are now developing a unit that will reside on offshore rigs, to be integrated directly into the drilling process. This unit will be operational by the summer 2000.

A variety of technologies are used for disposal of onshore hydrocarbon contaminated waste: dirt burners; land farming; bio-remediation and thermal desorption. All are limited, from the point of view of safety, environmental concerns, and cost.

It is only a matter of time before regulators impose more stringent standards on the disposal of onshore oil waste products.

OEP is easily incorporated into onshore drilling projects so as to reduce their potential long-term environmental liabilities.
